Preserving Sacred Ground Since 1902
Honoring the heritage and memory of our community through the careful stewardship of Zion Cemetery in the Municipality of Prairie View.
Our Mission
The Zion Cemetery Fund is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to the respectful preservation and perpetual maintenance of the historic Zion Cemetery. Located west of Foxwarren on Provincial Road 475 in the Municipality of Prairie View, this cherished burial ground has served the local community for over 120 years.
We believe every individual deserves a resting place that is maintained with dignity and care. Through ongoing grounds maintenance, monument conservation, and heritage documentation, we ensure that the memories and legacies of those laid to rest here are honored for generations to come.

A Heritage Worth Preserving
Foxwarren was established around 1889 as a stop on the Canadian Pacific Railway in southwestern Manitoba. The Zion Cemetery, established in 1902, has served as the community's sacred resting place for over a century, witnessing the stories and lives of the families who built this region.
Today, the cemetery stands as a living testament to the resilience and spirit of the prairie community. With headstones dating back to the early 1900s, it represents an irreplaceable piece of Manitoba's cultural heritage that demands our continued stewardship.
"A community that honors its dead honors its living. The care we give to sacred ground reflects the values we carry forward." — Community Heritage Tradition
